What initially led you to Vively?

I am really into reading and read “Fast like a girl” by Dr. Mindy Pelz. In the book it recommends wearing a CGM to not only manage your health but to gain deeper understanding on what's going on in your body on a daily basis. I went straight away to start researching for ways I could get a CGM, and then I found Vively. It was exactly what I was looking for.

How did Vively help you?

The main reason I wanted to get a CGM was to understand the impact Intermittent Fasting would have on my Glucose Levels as this was something I was looking to implement in my lifestyle. I needed to get a baseline understanding of my levels on a daily basis so I could establish if Intermittent Fasting could be something I could do longterm.

What are some of the insights and knowledge that you gained from the experience?

The first week I used the CGM I logged as much as I could and connected it to my Oura Ring. This was extremely insightful as I had previously no knowledge of how my body reacts to specific foods and activities. The second week is when I introduced Intermittent Fasting and watched how my blood sugar levels would respond. It gave me so much knowledge that I could then use every day going forward.

During the second week, I tested a few specific foods to see how my body would react and experimented while I had the CGM so I could get the real time data as I was experiencing it.During my time using the CGM I found I had developed insulin resistance, which has been incredibly important for me and my journey. I may have not found this information for years if I had not signed up and used the CGM. This has answered a lot of my questions when I experience low energy periods.

How do you feel after using Vively?

Vively has made me feel empowered and like I can take control over my health. It's been so helpful when learning more about my body and supporting my journey. It was great that I could connect my Oura Ring so I could have all my data in one place. I loved seeing everything in relation to my Glucose Graph. Its been nice to see where my body is at and how it is impacted.

Whats next for your health journey?

Now I have the baseline knowledge of my body and how its impacted with particular food and actives, I plan to implement Intermittent Fasting in my day to day. Using the CGM has given me the knowledge I need to apply this to my day to day in a way that is best suited to me. I will look at getting another CGM in a few months so I can compare the data.
